Rexroth Mecman has launched a new range of ISO standard Plug-In valves which offer significantly faster servicing and greater design flexibility
The new valves feature integrated electrical connections and are pre-wired and tested to reduce design, purchasing and installation time. To ensure maximum production uptime, they are also very simple to replace - the average changeover takes under a minute. The valve can be removed using one tool, without disturbing the tubing or removing the electrical connection.

Installing a replacement is even simpler, as both the pneumatic and electrical connections are made as the new valve is inserted to the sub-base.
A high level of installation flexibility and expandability is an important characteristic of the Plug-In range.
Different-sized valves can be combined on one manifold or single valves used as stand-alone units, available in ISO sizes 1, 2 and 3.

The valves' modular design also offers particular benefits to Fieldbus networks, where system flexibility is crucial.
The entire Plug-In range is IP65 rated and benefits from lightweight construction and a compact size that requires minimum space in control cabinets.
There are no exposed cables outside the valve unit and each includes clearly visible LED status indicators.
To simplify manifold installation, the valve unit offers a choice of connection ports on the side or rear.
Manifolds are available with polymer or die cast aluminium sub-bases which allow internally or externally piloted valves.
Valves can be used with multi-pin D-sub, Harting HAN, Circular connector or terminal strip installation as well as integrated Fieldbus options.
Rexroth Mecman also offer a wide range of accessories to suit specific application needs.
Options include sandwich pressure regulator to control inlet or outlet port pressure and integrated flow controls.
For ease of use, blanking stations, transition plates and multiple pressure facilities are available, together with valves combining standard functions as well as 2 x 3/2 in one valve.
Manifold design itself has also been made easier through Rexroth Mecman's product configuration service at http://www.rexroth-mecman.com.
Using this interactive program, customers can configure their own valve manifolds and a unique part number.
